It'd been such a long week, or was it only a day? I didn't remember, it was hard to tell time when you were cooped up for hours on end, the only amusement and distractions to be had controlled by rather fickle Pokemon. Not that I was complaining, the fewer distractions the quicker I could get my work done. Of course the quicker my work was done the sooner I become bored.
I sighed heavily, pushing back from my desk, chair squealing in protest. A rather wicked grin settled over my features as I thought up a plan. I do believe it was time to annoy my nearest and dearest friend. I reached into a drawer on my desk where six little Pokeballs where nestled nicely. I frowned, realizing one wasn't in the exact place I had left it. I did a mental tally before chuckling deeply. "I know you're out there Inishi my little doll." I murmured, looking around for my Sableye.
Inishi was special, she definitely wasn't a normal Sableye, nor was she what people called 'shiny'. She was a genetic anomaly, something that her entire clan had had when I caught her. What was it? Well she was white, a startling white in fact. Despite that fact she was extraordinarily talented in hiding in the darkest shadows.
I frowned a bit more, looking for her. "Inishi, c'mon, I believe it's about time that we go visit Hiro-chan!" I laughed a bit, pausing when I heard the telltale skittering of my beloved Inishi. I glanced up just in time to see her looking at me before dropping into my lap. I laughed, rubbing her head affectionately. "You love tormenting him don't you?" I murmured softly, glancing up rather cautiously towards where I knew Hiro was most likely to have stashed himself. Sasable! I chuckled at the affirmative tone of my darling Inishi before thinking.
I got off my chair, still holding the Sableye and even shifting to cradle her much like someone would do a baby. I crooned softly to her as I drifted slowly towards Hiro's work area, trying to be silent and yet knowing I didn't have to be too quiet. If I knew Hiro half as well as I claimed to I had a very good idea that he'd be zoned into his work, just like I should have been. I shrugged it off though, spotting my friend.
I glanced down at Inishi, holding a finger to my lips to tell her to be silent and she nodded and I swear flashed me a smile. I grinned, drifting closer when I finally spotted my friend's form. I continued to drift over towards him, letting Inishi down and watching her crawl towards the opposite side of the desk. I lifted an eyebrow, watching her curiously before leaning over Hiro's shoulder. "So how's it goin'?" I asked curiously, glancing at him, wanting to see his reaction.

Tap. Tap. Tap
Heaving a heavy sigh, he dropped the pen and leaned back against the back of his chair. Cloudy emerald orbs glanced over the notes he had jotted down. Breathing another sigh, he tilted his head back and placed a hand over his eyes. He rubbed at his tired eyes, attempting to wake himself up. He had been working non-stop, gathering data and working on different plans on how to track and capture the latest discovery. Most had found it to be a myth, but he was certain that this legendary Pokemon existed. The data proved that there had been sightings, though the exact details of the appearance and powers were still unclear. Humming to himself, he hunched back over the desk and picked up the pen. The next few moments were dead silent, the only sound being the light scratching of the ink against paper.
He wasn't sure how long he had been working. He had a record of going a week without rest. He was always so absorbed in his work and by the time he was brought into reality, a week had gone by and he didn't even know. It was an unhealthy habit, but it was hard to break. Rolling the dark blue lollipop across his tongue, he tucked the treat into the right corner of his mouth, absently. He loved sweets, it helped keep his energy up and it helped him focus. It was like people that needed to do something with their hands to keep focused and calm. He continued humming as he jotted down more data, glancing up at the computer screen now and then. He wasn't sure how many charts he had gone through, it felt like almost fifty at most.
He continued to work, oblivious to the squeaking of that familiar rolling chair. If anything was around him, Nyx would be the first to know. He smiled at the thought, taking a moment to stroke Nyx's feathers. The small psychic bird Pokemon was currently perched on his shoulder. She had just finished preening and was currently taking a nap. Nyx was his beloved Natu. The very first Pokemon he was ever given. She followed him everywhere, refusing to stay in her Pokeball. Nyx cooed at the gentle touch, nestled down into her feathers as she rested. He remained focused on his work, though a flash of white caught his attention through her peripheral. His eyes narrowed, hidden well under his bangs. He had a feeling he knew who and what that white blur is. He mentally cursed his co-worker for even having the cursed thing.
Settling back into his work, he got a good three minutes of peace before a presence loomed over his shoulder. Masahiro's shoulder's unconsciously tensed at the close proximity. His gaze then narrowed in both annoyance and suspicion. "Shouldn't you be working, Kazuki?" He asked, calmly. His tone was stern, but the playful smirk gave him away. His attention then turned back to his work, conscious of his co-worker and the white blur that he only knew to be the very bane of his existence. He wasn't sure where it had vanished to, but he didn't want to take any chances.

You know, thinking about it. Perhaps if I was nicer I would have left my friend alone but I didn't want to. He needed to get out, have some fun or at least take a little bit of a break. Hell we all needed cut loose sometimes! That was likely my alternative motive for coming over to harass him. Who really knew, even I didn't know what the hell was going on in my mind most of the time.
Of course I was deeply saddened when he didn't jump at my appearance. I pouted just a little at his tone, never mind that he was more than likely joking. "Tch, stop sounding like my father." Perhaps I was a little curt, but in the end it was all in play before I leaned down, all but resting my chin against his shoulder. "C'mon, all work and no play makes Hiro-chan and Kazu quite dull boys." I murmured, more trying to be consider of where my mouth was than anything, not really caring I was referring to myself in third person. What did it matter anyways? "I already finished what I needed to anyways, and some fresh air wouldn't kill us either." I continued on. I had the strangest urge to get out and go somewhere and I was sure as hell determined to drag him along if I could.
I frowned a little bit, wondering where Inishi had gotten to. I was certain that she was nearby but honestly I could never keep tabs on the ghost-type. I straightened up just as she popped her head over Hiro's computer monitor, cackling in her own way. Sasasasasa. I shook my head, grinning though as I was more than amused with the creature. "Ini.." I started to murmur but cut myself off when I saw her leap, looking at first like she was going to basically pounce Hiro's face. That is, until I realized she was leaping up. I paled and backed up a little as she cleared him rather easily, landing on my shoulder, I grunted at the impact, one hand reaching up to help balance her for both of our sakes. I shook my head a little, eyeing her even as she dug her hands, or what I at least considered hands into my hair to hold on. "Oi, no ripping out the hair." I muttered, stilling smiling before glancing back at Hiro. "Sorry, didn't know she was going to do that." Well, it was the truth, but hell she did something similar every chance she got, made me wonder if or even how upset he'd get this time. I never really understand what he had against my darling friend, not like I ever would either but it didn't matter because that's simply how he was and I was content to leave it at that.
