Her red hair is quite long, going all the way down all the way to the middle of her back past her shoulders. Kaida keeps her hair soft and silky; she makes sure to keep it nicely brushed out. Kaida has dark blue eyes.
Kaida is skinny but in shape, she exercises regularly and practices hand to hand combat on a daily basis. She stands about 5 feet 6 inches tall.
It really just depends on what she is in the mood to wear. She commonly wears a white blouse with a beige jacket over it. She wears a pair of black jean shorts with long black stockings underneath. She has a pair of big black boots covering her feet.

She is calm and collected most of the time. She is a bit on the quiet side and likes to do things on her own, which can make her seem cold and distant to others but that is not the case especially once she opens up to people it is quite apparent that she is a kind person. At times she can be quite friendly and cheerful but this side is usually only shown around her true close friends or people she generally feels comfortable enough around.
She has a difficult time being hugged or even touched like a person putting their hand on her shoulder. She is only comfortable with people she completely trusts hugging her or touching her in anyway. She has a fear of being held or restrained, even someone grabbing her arm will freak her out. She will always struggle to get away and scream if someone she doesn’t know or someone she is not comfortable with does this.
She is determined and hardworking, always striving to succeed, never backing down from a challenge. She will always work hard to do her best and can often push herself to hard. She likes to joke around with people and tease them when she is able to. She can be quite a smart-ass to people she doesn't like. She can also be stubborn at times and that can get her into trouble. She highly values trust and she is the type of person who if you break her trust it is nearly impossible to regain it.
She doesn’t have many friends; she likes to keep to herself. However, the friends that she does have she treats like her family. She is very loyal to her friends and family. She would do anything to protect those she cares about and she would sacrifice herself to save them. If something goes wrong she tries to resolve the matter, rather then panic and worry over it. She doesn't like to be told what to do and likes to do things her way.
She likes to find a quiet place to draw and often keeps a sketchbook with her at all times. In fact she has a rather large pocket on the inside of jacket that she places her black hard-covered sketchbook to keep it with her at all times. The other pocket in the inside of her jackets holds pencils, pens, and markers.

Kaida was born and raised in Saffron City. Her mother, Ayame Yoshikawa was a pokemon breeder and coordinator ever since she was a young girl and even continued after she gave birth to Kaida. Seiji Yoshikawa, Kaida’s father, was a pokemon trainer when he was young and became a doctor around the time Kaida was born. She had a pretty normal life up until she was twelve years old.
When she was ten years old, Kaida witnessed her mother’s murder. It all happened when her mother and she were walking home from shopping. It had gotten close to sunset and Mrs. Yoshikawa and Kaida were running late, they usually headed home much earlier but they had got caught up at the store. The two had walked by an alley and suddenly a man came up and grabbed Kaida from behind and held a knife to her neck.
Kaida’s mother whipped around when her daughter screamed and dropped the bags she was carrying. Kaida’s mother begged the man not to harm her daughter and that she would give him whatever he wanted. He told her to follow him into the alley as he dragged Kaida with him. Kaida’s mother had no choice but to do as she was told.
The man then told her to give him all the money and valuables she had on her or he would kill Kaida. Kaida’s mother did as the man said and tossed her purse at his feet. The man picked up the purse and smirked as he returned his attention to Kaida’s mother, saying that there was more that he wanted and then he threw Kaida backwards, causing the ten year old to slam her head against the cement ground. Kaida cried out as her head immediately began to throb in pain and bleed.
The man grabbed Mrs. Yoshikawa’s arm and tried to drag her farther into the alley but Kaida’s mother immediately struggled against the man’s grip and called out for help. Hearing someone coming the man growled angrily before stabbing Kaida’s mother in the chest. The man that had attacked them ran off as Kaida’s mother collapsed to the ground, bleeding badly. Kaida cried out when she saw her mom had been stabbed. Kaida pushed herself to her feet and stumbled over to her mother, sobbing.
A young couple and an older man had seen what happened and had rushed over to help. The younger man tried to help Kaida’s mother while the young woman went over to Kaida to see if she was alright. The older man quickly called for help but Kaida’s mom died before she could be taken to a hospital. Kaida’s father had rushed to the hospital when they had called him. He was completely devastated when he learned of his wife’s death but he was thankful that Kaida had survived the attack with just a concussion.
Ever since that day Kaida has been much more closed off from people, she even tenses up when people try to hug her. Her mother’s death is very hard on her and she even gave up on going on going on her pokemon journey until she was fifteen years old.
