Appearence:
Hiro stands at a simple height of 6'2" with a lean, strong build. Though he doesn't appear so as he tends to wear heavy, oversized clothing. The only real way you can tell is through slight sliver of his chest you can see through his top beneath his lab coat. He has the body of a swimmer, strong with corded muscle. He has a pale complexion that comes from being inside more than he should. Though it's not to say he can't tan when in the sun. Though it'd probably be minimal but noticeable. His hair is a pale golden blonde that reaches his chin. It frays out at the bottom and often appears messy and unkempt. His bangs fall between his eyes and fray out as well, forked between his straight nose. His eyes are his most interesting feature. From a distance they look like a cloudy grey, though up close there is flecks of a deep emerald green infused into the grey that offsets the foreboding color.
Hiro is most often seen in an oversized long sleeved shirt that has a dipping v-neck collar. He usually wears shades of green. He pairs his shirt off with the regulation white lab coat and a pair of charcoal colored pants and matching shoes. Another item he often wears that sets him apart is a floppy bucket had that is white with green stripes. It usually conceals his eyes from view and gives him a mysterious feel. He also is seen carrying a cane as well as a Chinese fan that he uses to conceal most of his face. The cane is mostly for display and has no real function. Though he is a young man, he does appear to have some light scruff on his chin and often appears older than he is at times because of his mature nature and also due to his workaholic tendencies.

- He was lead down a small path in a cave by a gang of ghastly, haunter, and spiritomb when he was ten years old. He then fell down a steep embankment into a tight space and trapped there by the ghost types that proceeded to scare him for fun. To this day he is deathly afraid of ghost types.

Personality:
Hiro's personality is pretty strange. He is usually a warm, welcoming man who appears as almost laid back and calm. He is charming when it comes to women and tends to act a bit nicer to women than men. Though he is generally a friendly person, if you can stay on his good side. Hiro is a bit quirky in the sense that he likes to toy with others. He likes to pretend he is clueless on most things, but really he has deeper knowledge than he lets on. He usually keeps to himself and tends to overwork when he's really into a project. It takes patience to deal with him since he has a habit of losing track of time. He tends to let other things go like eating and sleeping so one must always keep an eye on him. He also tends to be a bit accident prone in his work. Though he never hurts the pokemon he's working with, he tends to hurt himself. Whether it be a new formula that blows up in his face or simply just blowing the project itself up into pieces. He is a determined person and confident about his work. He usually works alone and often qualified to be a genius in what he does. He likes to focus on his work without distractions and perfect them without anyone knowing.

History:
Mashiro was born and raised in Rustboro City. He was the first of two children born to Izumi and Hideki Kururugi. He had one other sibling, a younger sister named Ayame. He grew up strong and healthy, though there was an unspoken tension among his family. Hideki was not Masahiro's biological father. Masahiro was the product of his mother's one last night before marriage. She had met a young, blonde gentleman by the name of Kazuma Nakamura. She had a one night stand with him and thus Masahiro came to be. Though soon after she found out she was with child, Kazuma disappeared. Izumi went on to marry Hideki and was convinced that the child was Hideki's. Soon Masahiro was born and Izumi was stunned to see that he had a striking resemblance to Kazuma.
Izumi had pushed it off as his traits being passed down from her own father. Since a side of her family had flaxen hair and light eyes. Hideki had believed this and treated Masahiro like he was his own son. Masahiro grew up never knowing his biological father. Though he loved his parents, dearly. His mother worked as a researcher in town as well as his father. He grew up around pokemon and had a distinct love of water and psychic types. He received his first pokemon when he was ten years old. His father had given him a Natu, which he quickly bonded with. Being born of researchers, Masahiro had an inept passion for tinkering with various machines as well as studying all types of pokemon.
Though one day he was out playing with his Natu and wandered into a cave. His Natu had lost track of him and upon entering the cave he happend upon a gang of haunter, ghastly, and a spiritomb. They had signaled him to follow them and show him around. He followed and soon lead down a narrow path that took a steep downward turn and he slid into a tight, dark space. Already scared from the sudden drop, the ghost types proceeded to pretend to help him out, but ended up spooking him more. They played games with his fears, thinking he would find it funny. Though it was the exact opposite and he wound up curling closer into the crevice, away from the ghost types. His father had eventually found him with the help of his Natu and he was rescued. From that day he had a strong fear of ghost types.
Though Masahiro usually kept to himself when playing, he had met a young boy who shared the same interests as him. They had become fast friends and were closer than anyone could be. They practically grew up together. When Masahiro grew older he had already established a team of pokemon and had settled down to focus on his dream to become a researcher like his parents. His best friend had convinced him to join Team Nova, which happened to be the group that his biological father was part of. He agreed and now works as a scientist for the group along side his best friend.
